«We are all in uproar, thus destined to be torn away from that which we love.» That is the starting point of Elina Duni’s first solo album «Partir», released on the ECM label. On it, she displays her talent as multiinstrumentalist, composer, and arranger – and relates to the listener heartbreaking stories of a life between Albania and Switzerland in nine different languages. She accompanies her warm and expressive voice with a few guitar sounds, percussion and some notes on the piano.
